How I Work With Anxiety and Panic
Anxiety doesn’t mean you’re broken. Panic attacks don’t mean you’re failing. They’re simply your body’s way of trying to protect you—only sometimes, it gets it wrong.
Anxiety can feel like constant and insistent tension humming in the background, while panic strikes suddenly and fiercely—racing heart, short breath, spiralling thoughts. It’s frightening, but it’s also your nervous system doing exactly what it was designed to do: keep you safe. The problem is, it’s raising false alarms.
Even when you know you’re not in danger, the older survival systems in your brain can hijack your body, triggering fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses. That’s why anxiety and panic can feel so overwhelming—and so hard to control with logic or willpower.

These patterns can be retrained.
